Davidoff Zodiac is here again with The Year of The Sheep 2027.
A blend that reflects the peaceful nature of the sheep. Delicate floral aromas evoke the tranquility of open fields where sheep graze. The lighter color of the Ecuadorian wrapper is reminiscent of the coat of certain sheep breeds.
One of the greatest blending challenges was harmonizing Dominican and Nicaraguan Tobaccos with contrasting aromatic profiles: tobaccos from DR contribute elegance and floral complexity, while those from Nicaragua add body, mineral richness and depth, creating a balanced and refined experience.
Presented in a beautiful box, the Year of The Sheep is a majestic cigar coming in at 6 3/4 X 52. A beautiful Ecuadorian Wrapper covers an Ecuadorian Binder over fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
The cigar opens up with the first few puffs that are enveloped in creaminess. Gently sweet with hints of floral and orange peel, followed by a touch of wood and fresh spice. The retrohale presents notes of coffee and brown sugar, complimented by undertones of cream and spice that ground the experience in quiet elegance.
A shift occurs as dark chocolate takes center stage, accompanied by toasted notes, dried fruits and earth. The initial sweetness and floral nuances continue to weave through the profile, while black pepper gradually emerges to add depth and intensity. Small bursts of citrus and a touch of mint bring freshness and intrigue to the evolving experience.
A new sweetness unfolds in the last third as caramel comes to the fore, alongside notes of oak and espresso. Leather soon follows, softening the profile, while roasted nuts and earthy nuances add a final layer of complexity. The Journey concludes with a warm, lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression of balance and refinement.
